Lance at #8?

I was really hopeful he would be there at #8. But all indications are that there will be a feeding frenzy in the draft with an unprecedented number of teams looking for a QB. Our biggest risk is someone trading up to grab Lance who I think is the most promising prospect after Lawrence.

Am I overreacting?

I would be all for Lance, but he will probably sit and refine his game in his first season.... this board will implode if we draft him and he's behind Bridgewater week 1.... Even if it's the best for him long term.

Not me and I'm arguably one of his biggest supporters here.  In fact, I WANT him to sit at least the first half of the season and will be fine with the entire season.  The one qualifier being he gets some game reps in clean up duty or if we're getting blown out.  I would prefer he gets some spot duty before assuming the helm.

I would expect him to sit and hope that TB would play well as long as he could.

Who would that be?  With all the uncertainty of grooming a young QB, teams with even average starters aren't going to send some sweetheart package for an unknown commodity.  That's the reason the Stafford-Goff trade was so eye-popping.  Two guys that are known commodities in the League.  I don't buy it for one second.  Maybe if the Jags somehow were shopping the #1 pick ( for Trevor) I could see someone packaging something ridiculous, but not for any of the other three.

I agree, but I see this year as being different--for example, I read a Colts site and they are rumored to be targeting Fields.  I think the Panthers might move up.  Denver, SF--a lot depends of free agency.  I think some teams (like the Panthers) prefer an unknown commodity over the known commodities that they have or will be available in free agency.  Gonna be interesting to see how it plays out.

With advance football analytics and me watching hours of college football film which I get paid because of working with stats I’d say it goes Lawrence which is nothing but amazing , possibly the best qb I have ever seen , then Mac jones which is a poor mans tombrady , Big Ben and Sam Bradford all in one , then tre lance which I love as well , but he has a bust rating of 55% which is a couple less than Justin fields which is the riskiest player in the draft , Zach Wilson is no doubt a bust

Wait, are you now pretending you are some kind of analyst? You need to understand we all know that's not true.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
