He has no arm. He's a statue.

It would be a colossal mistake.

One of the greatest field generals to ever take the field, was said to have a noodle arm, and was only a 3rd round pick.

While I would prefer my qb to have a strong arm, if he is a leader of men, with a killer instinct,  I can over look the arm.

There have been MANY Superbowl winning examples of this.

Reading around some of the analysis on Jones, this nugget from a scout stuck out... "I think he could have a career in the NFL similar to Matt Barkley."

I'd say Jones fits right in with the solid SEC QBs that have made a career out of being backups in the NFL: Fromm, Bray, Dobbs, McCarron, Stidham, Driskell, etc.   So if he's around in late rounds, sure. But he's not an elite 1/2 rounder from what I've seen.

    • Hoping for mostly 1:00PM games. I wouldn't think that'd be a problem given how we've played.
    • Don't know anyone can pass Smitty other than his stats, he'll always be the goat.  I do expect XL to break all rookie receiving records.  Hopefully Bryce develops a connection with him and delivers the ball on time because I have a feeling he will have no problems getting open in the NFL.
    • Exactly, Coker was someone most people knew about. He was rated by the NFL as a 5th/6th round pick and I’m sure we scouted him. Acting like he’s an unknown UDFA is silly as he probably was among the first folks we talked to post draft. Canales knowing about Coker doesn’t make him a winning coach, nor does it make Coker a better prospect. If they are, they are, not because Nagy’s impressed that Canales knows Coker. Maybe we should be less impressed that Nagy doesn’t know Coker. I’m way more optimistic than last year, mainly because Fittermagic is gone but I’m waiting until we win before we announce that we’re all good now. Feels like every year since the 1-7 finish in 2018 we have these same OMG this guy does it way differently than our scrubs before until we realize we hired or kept scrubs and they weren’t better.
