If you're hoping for watson, I think you will be disappointed. The Texans are being the Texans, the ship is sailing and they aren't budging.

As far as FA go anything to do with the trenches and the secondary.

Still early, over a month till draft.

Alejandro Villanueva

If we draft a Quarterback with our first pick, I would like for him to not get killed by the blindside. Alejandro is arguably the most consistent tackle on the market. Give him a 2-3 year deal, live with the fact you might pay anywhere from 12-15 mil a year, work on getting the guard positions situated.

Michael Davis CB out of LAC - 6'2 quality starting outside corner.  Young at 26 and a ton of career ahead

Jonnu Smith TE - Popular name to throw around but I'd really like to land this guy.  As long as Brady's offense is needing it.

Jaquiski Tartt S SF - Loved him in his draft, he's a bit close to what Chinn is but I just want him on the team.  Could be another multi-positional guy in our 3-3-5/hybrid d

Kelvin Beachum LT - We're super limited but he'd be a guy for a 2 year contract

I’ve read ppl throw out theories we could still not draft a qb and draft BPA and spots of need/depth and then after the draft try and trade for him, that way we would be better prepared if we do get him. Again, just ppl throwing out ideas on the interwebz, but it’s not a bad idea. They feel Watson won’t be dealt until well after the draft bc at that point, when he doesn’t show for TC, they will know he’s serious.

I am more fond of this than drafting a QB just to draft one. QBs outside the top 2-3 are huge gambles.

    • Director of College scouting should be next. I'd like to see the organization go after Senior Bowl Director Jim Nagy who's a good friend of Dan Morgan back in their time in Seattle
    • I always just go back to what I said at the time. Trade Burns to the Rams because it's a fantastic deal. I was screaming it. I'm still angry at Fitt over that. Right after he turned down the deal I said he needed to get into a time machine and go back and make the deal. Hate that dude. Ruined our team. Trading D.J was a major mistake because what matters most in the NFL is the passing game, so you never unload a proven #1 WR when there are other options. Always trade a defensive player over a WR if you have that option available. Fitt was precious about defensive players when we had a passing offense that didn't function. That's how know he was completely incompetent. The passing offense is the top priority, so until that is functioning all defensive players are possible trade fodder. At this point we're in a rebuilding year under a new GM and a QB who looks absolutely horrendous. It makes perfect sense, if you follow all of our moves, that we would be the worst team in the NFL. Of course we are. You can't screw up as a GM that many times over the years and not ruin the franchise. We're exactly where we should be, dead last, or bottom 3. Whichever you like. But this is the here and now. Dan did a good job getting our 2nd round pick back, and we won't know about the picks until they take the field in regular season games. We're in dark until then, but if they suck the Panthers media will hide it shamelessly. Remember when Young was supposed to be a football genius? Yeah he was rancid turds out there when live fire started. There is some hope. Either Young improves and we win more games, or he stays about the same and we draft a new QB in 2025. Either way the NFL will help us out of this jam, but all we need is for Dan not to screw it up.
