Choice quotes:

"An executive with a team that has been monitoring the quarterback market said Tuesday the Panthers “are locked” on Watson"

But most league insiders believe Caserio eventually will deal Watson, presumably prior to the April 29-May 1 draft to maximize the return."

"Panthers owner David Tepper has made no secret of his desire to upgrade at the quarterback position. And Watson looks to be Plan A, B and C."

the Watson train is departing from Houston station sooner than later, despite what the superficial public denials are.  And it's headed towards the Queen City:  Read between the lines, Tepper is as fixated on Watson as he ever has been on anything, and he's going to make this happen, whatever the cost.  You can whine about it all you want, but we're not going to let ourselves get outbid for the franchise savior we've been waiting for.

Franchise savior???

I'm absolutely fine with Watson being Plan A, but I sure hope we aren't putting all of our eggs in that basket.

If the briantrust truly feels this is the best option forward and can get it done then alrighty, but it's a metric ton of faith in this staff and FO to overcome the price that will be required.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
