I'm not worried in the slightest. I don't think that Tepper will allow his team to be robbed of talent, but I also know that we'd have to give up some valuble talent as well. It's not rocket science! That's how these things work.

To be sure to get Watson we will have to overpay....just about any FA or trade for a great player requires you to overpay

i just find it totally absurd that many of you guys are so easily willing to give away so much for a single player

we need to keep building thru the draft and selective FA

and giving up 3 #1s plus other picks and our young players on rookie deals is nothing short of idiocy

our owner, coach, & GM are NOT going to do that

PS: can’t wait to see you all blow up when we draft the QB from the National Champs, and one of the best offenses in college football history

Saw that.

McClain's been pretty adamant that they wouldn't trade him. He more recently said that he thinks they should trade him. Now he's moved to saying he thinks they will.

It's always been possible. Might now be a little more probable, or it might not. Who knows?

Still not sure it happens with us if it does, but that's possible too.

What McClain has been putting out publicly throughout this process is in reality a step behind of what is actually taking place behind the scenes.

If it means giving away our young D players plus 3 1st round picks I would pass. You need a team around your QB.

nah you need a QB to build a team around.

just go back & look at what happened in Tampa Bay for example

That’s actually a good example

brady made them a championship team

but they already had major PCs in place, big time WR, big time LB and DL

they brought in a new coach, drafted well over the yrs, and were that single pc away...last yr they blew multiple games with Winston at QB

we are not there....and Watson is not the GOAT

Overpaying is not the Appaloosa Way.

3 firsts, two 2nds, Burns or Brown + Robbie ends up being the deal made, IMO

Lol

So we will build an entire oline and literally an entire defense minus a slightly above average LB solely from the next few years of FA? Is that even possible?

Lord help us if this is the case

That's the price for 10+ years of elite QB play.  And six non-QB draft picks don't make or break a franchise over TEN years, if we fail to compete at the highest levels with Watson by the end of 2030 it won't be because of draft picks that we didn't have seven to ten years earlier

the Panthers lost 8 games last year by a margin of one score or less .so we know or should know considering the facts that this team is a piece away as well
