And what would you add those pieces with? You gave up all your draft picks and half or more of your top defensive players you've already drafted.  No sir, this is a dumb decision that will haunt this team for years.  Bank it.

Didn't realize the deal was done. What did we give up?

Cam's tenure here wasn't all that because we did a piss poor job of surrounding him with talent on offense.

Steve Smith was the only WR Cam played with that would be better than Cam as receiver if Cam lined up wide.

Cam was always the best player on offense here including skill position players. He did it all .. carried the team.

Maybe look at the trash that was charged with protecting Cam and getting open for Cam, when you wonder why the Cam days weren't as successful as they could've been.

We had all our draft picks then too and a reasonable QB contract.

You want this team to trade away a bunch of draft capital, players, and tie the hands of our cap with huge a QB contract.

Good luck building a winner handicapped in the draft and free agency because you already gave everything up for a QB ... all while Cam wins SB56 for 14 million and Pats gave nothing up for him.

Tepper is going to look like a total moron.

But i'm told that draft picks are indispensable, yet you claim we couldn't surround Cam with talent from those very same draft picks?  Hmmm

That’s what this franchise does....it makes stupid moves time and again.  I hope they don’t give up 3 firsts for Watson, but I have a bad feeling.

It's actually more like 5 with 2 of them in the form of proven 1st round players on defence, maybe more.  I wouldn't give that for Tom Brady.  But that's just me.

I agree.... I’m afraid Teppers obsession with a franchise QB will set this franchise back 5 years or more by giving away that much draft stock.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
