I don't know why everyone thinks our draft picks will cost so much against the cap?  This is the offseason, only the top 51 players count against the cap.  So if you add 1 player that counts against the cap, you take the lowest guy that counts off the cap.  Rookies will probably count about 5 million against the cap, total.  Hell, rounds 5-7 won't count at all because they will not be as high as the lowest guy on the cap currently.

When all the new guys salaries get added the minimum salaries will be 780,000 not 660,000.  But we don't have 7 draft picks currently, we have 8.  But the guys in the 5th and 6th round won't met the 780,000 bottom level.

Wasn't there like a dozen posts before the start of free agency from people whining about how the Panthers never have cap room? Somehow we go on a free agent spending spree, tag Moton and still have among the most cap space in the league.

If no more high price tag names come, we should extend Moton,Burns, and or Moore to front load a contract and have them not be astronomical numbers come 2-3 years from now.

You also have to figure about 7 million for transactions throughout the season.
