Steal for the chiefs til you have to write that 20+ million check.

move what 27 spots down, at a draft point where 31 to 58 isnt a drop in skill/talent.

All that for a young LT??? Great move for KC, its rare to see Ravens lose in trades, but this is L. Id rather kept Brown ifs thats alll he brought, fyi.

What I do not understand is why would the Ravens trade him? Do they have 2 elite LT's or what? I don't understand why they would get rid of a top talent like that.

They have a First Team All-Pro LT (the highest paid offensive lineman in the NFL - he was hurt last year).

Brown wants to be paid like an All-Pro LT . He has one year left on his contract. Sometimes you've just got to bite the bullet.

Yes they had 2 elite LTs. Ronnie Stanley is coming back from injury this year and Brown only wanted to play LT.

Their starting LT (stanely) got a ACL injury early season (i think week 2). Brown moved form RT to LT, didnt miss a beat... Off-season he twatts out Im a LT. They just paid Stanely the gold mountain and didnt want issues or to pay two OT. I would not care if hes only worth 27 spots down, hes a professional and you got a MVP QB. Hell thats 3rd comp value, just a big get for KC. Shocked the ravens took that.

I bet they literally can't afford to pay him and Jackson (who's out of contract next year).

At the end of the day they drafted him in the third round got 3 years of good-great play out of him and got a bunch of picks for him.

I'd love to lose that kind of trade every year as a Panthers fan.

Btw the Chiefs are building a super team. Seems NFL franchises have finally found a way around that dreaded Salary Cap nonsense, eh?

I agree, money is always the reason/issue. There have been ting whispers about Ravens looking at QBs.....cause 45 million is what nearly 20% your cap....I swear 5th year and 3 years of tag maybe the route for Jackson.

Chiefs were about to sign Trent Williams, Im sure to some mega deal. No idea how after they paid Kelce, Jones, and Mahomes half a billion. Williams called Klye and was like" We need to do something NOW, cause Im signing with KC in a few if not...."

If thats it for Brown, Id kept him for sure. Maybe Stanely has issues coming back, need insurance cause your goal is SB....... where you will be playing the chiefs it seems..... I bet the chiefs take risky players in the draft too, watch out...

For those complaining that Greg Little's combine should have made him an obvious pass in the draft: Orlando Brown's combine performance made Little look like Aaron Donald. It was historically abysmal. That's why he dropped to the 3rd round. One example of why the combine, while important, isn't the end all be all.

It seems like we could have come up with the compensation necessary to do this deal given our need.

Really?  You think this is ok?

Big, fat PASSSSSS.  Chiefs got fleeced.  They got a guy now who is going to want 15 mil+ per season for at least four years . . . and gave up THREE PICKS THIS YEAR.  Very glad we were not in on that.  We have Moton.  That's enough franchise tackles.

    • I feel the same way. Bryce hasn't proven himself to be so good that he would clearly lap anyone that we'd bring in the compete for the starting job. I think the team is actually afraid to do that. If Bryce goes down does anyone think Kenny Pickett is solid option to replace him?. We can control him for 2026 and 2027. The problem is 2028. Unless he takes a massive leap forward ability wise, I don't see how Carolina can justify paying B.Y. $50 million a year. So far, Bryce has not shown that he can CONSISTENTLY carry a team. He needs to be carried by a strong offensive line, running game, pass catchers and a respectable defense. If he's lacking any of those things I don't think we can make the playoffs in 2026/2027 unless the NFC South is as bad (or worse) than 2025. Unfortunately, athletes and agents have EGOs! When he has a chance for a 2nd contract his management team will probably insist on a "market deal" and feel insulted if they don't get one. That leaves a couple of options if his play hasn't significantly improved. 1) Let him walk and test the market. 2) Franchise him for the 2028 season if you're still not sure about what to do. 3) Extend him to a team friendly deal that pays him below the "current market" which would allow the team to continue to build a solid team to support him. 4) Over pay him and pretty much ruin any chance of becoming a consistent contender. The last option is the LEAST DESIRABLE ONE. The 2026 season is a pivotal season for Bryce and the Carolina Panthers. The success of the next 5-7 years could ultimately be decided on how well plays the next 2 seasons.
    • Thank god BigKat can't buy it because I'd be gone immediately
    • Drake Maye ended up putting almost 300 on them lol. Bryce was stunned from the beginning to end. I know that's an easy comp for the Bryce truthers but no one else put up those puny QB stats against them all season long.
