Think about this nightmare scenario

JAX - Lawrence
NYJ - Wilson
SF - Fields
ATL - Pitts
CIN - Sewell
MIA - Slater
DET - Lance

I'd be looking to trade down. It's good Fitts has already made some calls.

How is this a nightmare? We take Chase and never look back.

What do we get with a Redskins trade back to 19?

And don't say "3 first rounders and all their picks this year"

If someone can give some realistic answers, it would be nice, but again, this is the Huddle

I think we get Darrisaw at 19 fairly easily, same as getting Slater at 8, and we get next years first and maybe a couple more this year

SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKE SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN. Of course this franchise would fug up the possibility to get an immediate impact player.

This is not your daddy’s Panthers. Might as well be an expansion team at this point. You people have got to get rid of the ghost of Hurney/Richardson. They’re not here anymore.

I’ve done a couple mocks lately where Sewell and Slater are both gone by 8. Would you guys against trading back be more likely to want to trade back if that happened?

Yes. Take Chase at 8 and kill people on offense for the next 5 years.

You know who I love, but is too high at 8 and won’t be available Round 2? Greg Newsome. Love his movement skills. In my opinion, you have 4 marquee corners and then a big drop. Some talent is in this draft for OL and WR that can be secured in Round 2

Newsome is going to be a very good NFL CB IMO. I could see him and Horne being better than Surtain (who should be solid).

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
