Panthers selected BYU OT Brady Christensen with the No. 70 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Christensen (6’6/302) started for three years at BYU after first serving a two-year LDS mission to New Zealand. Last fall, he posted the best grade of any tackle in the PFF grading era, topping Penei Sewell’s 2019 campaign, and became BYU’s first consensus first-team All-American since Dennis Pitta in 2019. In a tick over 1,400 career pass-pro snaps, Christensen allowed only three sacks and two hurries, showing good technical acumen, with strong hands and soft feet working in concert. Christensen locks in and doesn’t let go in the run game, finishing with nastiness. He went on to stun the draft community by testing as a top-20 OT athlete of all-time at BYU’s pro day, per RAS. Christensen’s 10-foot, four-inch broad jump was the best ever recorded by an offensive lineman in Mockdraftable’s database by three inches. Christensen’s short arms -- measured at a sub-threshold 32 1/4 inches -- can lead to issues against long ends, which he didn’t see much of in Provo, and he gives away leverage when he starts playing too high. But as an athletic specimen that dominated non-Power 5 football, he reminds us a little bit of a shorter-armed Eric Fisher.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
