I'm going to call it now, Panthers take Michael Carter RB from UNC with their first pick in the 4th.

Carter comes in to replace Mike Davis and give the local UNC fans a guy to get excited about.

I do believe that RB is a strong possibility, a lot of these drafts are also depth and growth at the same time. Ex. Marshall jr with Moore and Anderson on last contract, Tremble to replace Ian Thomas, etc. If not Carter, maybe Chubbard?

I wouldn’t mind taking another WR with our next pick, but one who plays in the slot.  Someone like Amonra St. Brown or Marquez Stevenson.

But whatever happens, based on the draft so far and how well it’s going imo, I trust the staff to make the perfect decision.

Jabril Cox in the 4th would be a steal. We badly need a linebacker with his coverage ability.

There are two potentially good LB's that are very different in terms of Skills; J. Cox and C. McGrone. Cox is a little small but great in coverage, Cox is more of a downhill. blitzing type of backer.

I wonder if they decide to go LB, which one they (Snow, Rhule, Fit) see as a better fit.?

Not even being a homer, but Dazz Newsome and Michael Carter would both for well for us.

A flier on James Hudson wouldn't be an awful pick.

Wiggins is a guy I've liked throughout the pre-draft process.

I'm really surprised that Dylan Moses is still available. That's a pick that could make a lot of sense for us.

I'm less surprised Jabril Cox is still available. I've thought him overrated throughout the pre-draft process and I think he'll be a coverage liability in the NFL.

Deommodore Lenoir and Keith Taylor are two to watch at CB. We've been connected to both through the pre-draft process.

Take Cox and let Chinn play safety/rover.

This makes sense to me, but also bolstering the O-line seems to still be something that should be done. A free Safety soon that can give us some reps would be nice too.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
