Is Bayless or Zylstra out?

Barring that we don’t trade Anderson or Moore. If we carry 6 WR the room will likely be:

1. Moore

2. Anderson

3. Moore

4. Marshall

5. Smith

6. Zylstra

OR

1. Moore

2. Anderson

3. Moore

4. Marshall

5. Smith

6. Bayless

Zylstra has size, experience and kills it on special teams.

Bayless was UDFA pick up last year who blew it up in college but missed the season with an injury.

Isn't it funny how people get blinders about players they like?.  Yea, Zylstra was great on ST.  So was Colin Jones.

Don't worry about ST.  It's overrated.  Pick your six best catchers of the ball, runners of routes.  We'll find somebody to run down the field on punts.

If you're WR5 or 6 on the team, it helps to bring something extra to the table (e.g. special teams ace, kick returner) because chances are you won't see the field on passing downs. Better Zylstra actually contribute on special teams than Bayless sit on the bench all the game. Maybe Bayless would do well on ST, I don't know. But I do think that will factor in. You can always stash Bayless on the practice squad and put him on the roster if we have multiple injuries.

Fair enough. That’s honestly still Zylstra

Don’t count out Keith Kirkwood he has experience in Saints Joe Brady scheme

    • I mean, I alluded to it when we signed him. It might be different if he was old and washed up, but he's not. Sickness and suffering will never ever allow you to be your best. Eclipse that and if one has the talent and inclination to thrive, the sky's the limit.
    • Renfrow makes the team and becomes part of the rotation-- then he plays well.  Gets NFL comeback player of the year.  You all cheer.  When I say, "I called this in June."  You will say "Pic or it didn't happen."  I will say, "you all disgust me because you are too mired in mediocrity to see my brilliance."  You will give me a poo emoji because that is how you treat greatness.   OK, I'm back.
    • I did a little research. I think that it's hard to say that we're a traditionally "small-market" team anymore. Technicalities aside, our fan base is certainly not as popular as some others (lots of fans from different fan bases can probably argue that though), but the Panthers do have a solid and committed following if you look at things like home attendance and---fascinatingly---social media digital presence (e.g., back in 2023 there were three million followers of the Panthers on Twitter, ranking them #5). It's just hard to get exact, up-to-date numbers because much of the relevant information is not forthcoming, but suffice it to say that winning changes things, even if temporarily. Even if the fan base is smaller, it certainly seems to make a lot of noise. We just need to win. On an off note, Tet McMillan has fairly strong rookie jersey sales. Between him, Bryce and Legette, maybe the fan base will grow a little.
