This was an awesome video on how terrible the Jets offensive line was, plus how confused they caused Darnold to seem  while obviously flustrated.

Hopefully, with better weapons, coaching and a decent offensive line  this was just an once in a career disaster for him and he will have a long successful career with us.

As the inimitable Bill Parcells would say...

..."you are what your record says you are".

Everyone of those guys are average to below average QBs. Hell Testaverde played for us, you dont see any Panther fans bragging about that poo.

None of those QBs won anything worth mentioning, only Sanchez even came close because they had an elite D.

Regardless of your opinion (or mine) all had winning records with over 60 starts as a Jets QB.

Sam was 13-25.

NOTE:  I am eager to see Sam do well.

Mark also had a very good online.  Ferguson and Mangold were both good.

So much regarding whether a QB wins or not also depends upon the franchise around him. Context always matters.

See the Jets record during Sam's time there when he didn't play.

It's like 0-10 if memory serves. Top 5 QB picks generally go to bad teams. Which means bad records.

Lance had a two year removed SB team trade up for him. I expect a lot from him early.

It's up to the QB to understand their lines ability and to make their reads accordingly.

If I know my line is booty, I got to get the ball out ideally within 2 seconds.

gotta set up the right plays and make the right reads.

So receiver separation needs to exist...

Bullsh-t.    You want Sam to fail so you can say "Ha Ha!  I told you so, losers!  I'm the best.  Look at me!  Me! Me!"

That, or in Sam's case....run like hell out of the pocket and make big-time throws on the run like a BOSS.

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
