Just curious...has Foxy ever said  that he  learned  from  his mistake(s)...or that he ever made one?

It is what it is?  He picked a bad day to have a bad day.

Or some other word salad nonsense he would trot out on Mondays.

Oh, did he admit mistakes?  Ummm, no.  Not one that I recall.

The fact that a 2x Coach of the Year here, barely has one positive comment in this entire thread says a lot about this fan base to me.

Or perhaps it's because they're responses to the specific topic noting that we saw him repeatedly not 'learn from his mistakes' for nearly a decade despite these comments now, and it ultimately cost him his job.

All the best to Ron in Washington, and if this was a thread about his players gushing about him comments would probably include some affirmation. Talk is cheap though and 'Riverboat Ron' has a lot to show at this point to support such a statement.

Well the harsh reality is those coach of the year honors happened well before the decline of the team under his watch. The decline that saw the Panthers tumble down into the cellar of the division. Now mind you not all of that was his fault but he was the head coach and in control of the roster and was the lead guy on game days. Does that mean he is deserving of hate directed his way? Absolutely not. But until the team sees more consistent success with a new regime fans will look back in disbelief that we could have squandered so much potential so quickly.

The fact that he only had 3 winning seasons out of 9 says a lot about him.

Ron's strengths are very strong...it's just that his weakness are as well, and they undermine his good attributes to such an extent that it prevents him from reaching greatness as a coach imho.

No matter what he does or where he goes, he's always got one foot pushing on the brake.

Ron's peak was as a DC. That was the perfect job for him.

yeah let's hate on the guy who was arguably the best coach in our history. you can argue Hurney was our downfall b/c of course. same could fall on Fox.

Best coach in our history. But the bar is pretty low.

Again, 3 winning seasons out of 9. That's not something to be proud of. It's something to get better than.
