Darius Butler on his best bet for DPOY

Depends on the supporting cast. He generated so many pressures last year but we couldn't cover and the rest of the DL wasn't always doing their part. If our secondary improves(on paper it should) and our front seven improves(on paper it should), then he should finally start finishing these sacks.

Still have no clue why the Raiders drafted Ferrell over him, I remember I mocked Burns to the Raiders at #4.

I do. Coming out of college, Ferrell looked like a prototypical 4-3 DE prospect who could rush the passer, stop the run, and hold the edge. Clemson's history of disappointing edge prospects is impressive. It's beginning to rival the USC WR streak or the Big 10 RB streak. We fell victim to both of those with Colbert and Biakabutuka.

Timmy B was an injury bust more than production.  When he played the kid could play.  His knees just couldn’t take it. (Sad face/pets rookie card)

Burns' size was a legit concern. Dude is LEAN as all hell for a DE. Has the length and the strength but there were concerns that he wouldn't be able to put on weight/keep it up in the NFL.

I'm glad LV passed on him bet they would take him now.. Everyone was mad we won games at the end of the year and said we would miss out on a great DE like Sweat. Just goes to show win all the games you can and let the draft take care of itself later..

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
