But the team finally has it's young star they can build around so there is hope.

What's the likelihood he stays?

Crappy owners have a lousy track record of being able to hold onto premier talent...look no further than the New Orleans Hornets (Pelicans).

#4 pick Chris Paul, left.  #1 pick Anthony Davis, gone.  #1 pick Zion Williamson, sure sounds like he's got one foot out the door.

Why?

Because ownership sucks and these players can see there is no path toward consistent success for the organization (much less a championship).

If the key operating hierarchy within the Bobcats remains Mike Jordan > Mitch Kupchak (age 67) > James Jordan > Buzz Peterson...

...LaMelo Ball will leave.

Maybe. I could see him wanting a big market for the extra money. We will have a chance to max him out. It looks like the Hornets have already signed his brother to play on the Summer League. (Similar to what the Bucks did with Giannis). The owners better start kissing his ass, because you know it’s a league controlled by the players.

Hate to be that guy that says "I knew it"  but I cant help but say I knew he was just throwing a tantrum with the whole "appease me now or else" BS.  Acting like a bored spouse who complains that you just don't pay enough attention to me anymore.

I would have had so much more respect for him if he stood his ground.   Now all of this for what? Just pointless BS.

ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that the deal will void the 2023 season from Rodgers' current contract and the franchise tag may not be used in future years.

Sounds like he wants to be a FA after this season.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
