I noticed the change, and wondered why the Huddle was giving me the clap under the avatar.

I'm not too worried about the changes one way or another.

So, having the clap is a good thing or bad thing. I am asking for a friend.

Don't mean to sound stupid here. But I been on here since Jan-21 2021. Not long but I can't seem to figure out how to post a new topic. Any help appreciated. Be easy on the old guy. I'm slow these day's. 🙂

Eh, not sounding stupid at all.  I rarely start new topics, myself.

When I am on the main Panthers Forum page, I see a blue button above the current topics, on the left, that says Start New Topic.  Or, on this page, there is a similar button marked Reply to This Topic, and next to it on the left is a link to Start New Topic.

The huddle now has a pretty extensive ranking system that allows Huddlers to accumulate accolades and rise ranks. You do so by just being an active huddler. Creating topics, replies, giving rep, getting rep, following huddlers and topics, all this stuff is worth points that elevate your status.

Pie and such has been unchanged. Everyone still has all their rep and it won't ever get reset.

I will be resetting the ranking system every new season. Just as the NFL, it is a new day here and everyone starts on the same playing field.

Wish I knew what you're talking about, is there a page somewhere that describes all that?

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
