Starting OL Projection ...

I would love to have Brady C on the right, and Moton on the left that way we are set for the next 4 years at tackle and we have 4 really good young candidates at G on cheap deals.

Realistically I think we go into the year with Erving at LT, unknown at LG (hopefully one of the rookies), Paradis at C, John Miller at RG and Moton at RT.

Until we see them in pads, no one can tell just yet. I hope one of the rookies starts at Guard but only time will tell.

Thats true, but we have seen Little and Scott in pads plenty, and its awful. There is also a lot of film on Erving at LT, and it is pretty bad too.

It’s sad that last year out expectations were so incredibly low that we all rejoiced when Scott performed at a level where Teddy didn’t get smashed play after play. He wasn’t good as a LT, but played well enough to allow about 3-4 seconds some time. I believe Scott is a good versatile backup but he’s definitely not starting LT material.

week 1: Erving, Christensen, Paradis, Miller, Moton

My fondest wish: Moton, Elflein, Paradis, Miller, Christensen. having bookend tackles locked down for years to come is a fantasy I almost dare not dream.

My projected starting OL: Erving, Daley, Paradis, Miller and Moton.

I don’t think our future LT is on the roster yet. It appears Christensen is being groomed to take over one of the G spots at some point.

Erving-Elflein-Paradis-Miller-Moton

Scott-Daley-Moore-Brown-Christensen as the back-ups

Deuces to Greg Little unless he somehow "gets it" but seeing how that the mental part of the game has seemed to be a consistent issue for him, I doubt it.

Will be interesting to see if folks will blame Darnold for having a below average OL like they did his predecessor. 👀

I have a feeling we're going to see a huge number of different starting combinations this season. That usually happens when you don't have a guaranteed set of bookend tackles. LT continues to be a massive need for this team ever since Jordan Gross retired.

    • We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on.  I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.
    • Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
    • we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least.  We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations.   We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy.  Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league.  If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts.  Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go.  ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now.    "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......."   Its fuging never ending.  Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
