What the Indianapolis Colts media is saying about the joint practice

Let’s get our center back and find out which lineup works best pretty quickly. Repetition is going to be key to build trust and cohesiveness throughout our offensive line. I’m not saying we will be top of the league, but should be average with a great OT in Moton, decent C in Paradis, and enough competition for both OGs to have a solid player there. From what I read Moton at LT and Christensen at RT looked the best for the tackles. Moton, Daley/Elf, Paradis, Miller, and Christensen seems to make some sense. Christensen should get better as the season goes and Erving can be our overpriced backup at any position really. If Christensen struggles, Scott can step in and be serviceable.

Note: I am praying Matt Rhule has some grand plan on how to make this talent-lacking offensive line perform at least average through scheme. It is possible, and I will be in awe if it happens.

They overperformed last year with a quick release.  On paper, it looked worse than any Cam ever had.  Yet we were top 10 in pass pro.  Run grade is a different matter, so a little below average overall.

Now maybe it was a fluke, or maybe they know what their doing.  I guess we'll see.

From the vids I've been seeing the past hour, Omar Bayless is that hidden gem that is shining a lot tbh. Terrence Marshall Jr as well which is so satisfying because the WR corp seems to be the huge strength. Something that hasn't been true for years. Meaning Darnold is set up for success. Also makes Robby Anderson a piece that can be moved to bolster some other part of the team that needs help, like that O-line.

No mention of how the colts offense did against the Panthers defense? Because with the garbage the Colts have at QB I bet the Panthers D looked decent at least.

All the reports I read said the Colts QBs looked pretty good

At one point yesterday, one QB had went 10/11 and the other QB had went 7/10. Multiple TDs. No INTs that I can recall.

It wasn't pretty.

Keep in mind, Indy is in a panic right now about their backup QB situation because they suck and Wentz is out with injury. We made them look good.

Their backup QB's (that's all they have right now) torched us in red zone.  Over and over again.  Overall, I think they were very, very good stat-wise.  I think no ints.

    • In January 2014, I posted this on another forum.  Seems like it fits again:   Do you remember cheering for the rain? Trying to sleep after “The no-call”? Do you know who needs to "Ice up, son"?   Remember pleading for .500? Thinking there’s no catching the Saints? Punting to Buffalo and knowing how it was going to end?   Do you remember how you felt about Kalil’s ad? Or the fan’s follow up? Gruden’s interview with Cam?   Do you remember Clausen being the steal of the draft? Will you ever forgive Mel Kiper?   Did you cry as Jake said his goodbyes? Do you remember the game that cost Gruden his job?   As fans chant “Luuuuuuke,” do you still hear “Moooose”? … “Hoooove”?   Do you recall changing the diaper? Paddling the boat? Being happy just hearing the name Smoot?   Do you recall the day when it hurt to say “Keep pounding,” and you felt you’d lost a close friend?   Did you hunt the net for Bojangle’s commercials? Have you seen a Cajun’s bare butt?   Do you remember the sunken feeling when Smitty was caught from behind and didn’t get up?   Sports Illustrated’s prediction?   Were you angry at Janet for stealing the spotlight? Does “X-Clown” still give you chills? Do you sing the wrong words to “Day-O”? Whenever you hear “He Hate Me,” do you also hear Rosinski finishing the sentence?   Did you like Seifert a little less when he let Walls’ streak of games-with-a-reception end? But nothing compared to letting Steve go, right? Do you remember that invincible feeling you had when we won the first game of 2001? Do you recall who our division rivals were?   Do you remember thinking “Just wait ‘til Bazooka’s healthy”? How about that weird grin you got watching Kevin Greene fire up the D? Or being undefeated at Ericsson?   If your answer is “no,” we happily welcome you as a new fan of our beloved team. Trust me, we’ll be happy to explain all of these and more to catch you up. For the rest of you, it’s been entirely too long since we were alive after week 17. But every question that you answered “yes” to makes this all the sweeter. Welcome to the playoffs.
