Me either. The first one was bad. The second one made me feel depressed for a few weeks!

The first one was the worst because it was right there....we were so close. The second one just made me angry at everything.

It was the worst team we had played all postseason, our coaching staff didn't make any adjustments, and we were so clearly getting fuged by the refs. I wasn't depressed at all about that one, I was furious.

Yahoo Sports did their yearly Madden season simulation and the results were VERY surprising.  Carolina wins the NFC Championship on the back of a rejuvenated Sam Darnold who threw 36 TD passes, and CMC who set the NFL record for all purpose yards with over 2,800.

I know it means exactly squat, but I thought it was cool…

YAHOO SPORTS MADDEN SEASON SIMULATOR = NOSTRADAMUS

SO IT SHALL BE.

Who was it we faced in the Super Bowl

I mean really and literally only Ron Rivera could lose to a QB who literally couldn't throw the ball.

I'll take that result any day of the week.

Of course, simulations are simulations...but damn, I love THAT simulation.

Kansas City.

In Quatrain 943 (the lost Quartain) Nostradamus says In the land of snowflacks and actors a black cat with multiple fangs (CMC, Moore, Burns and Chinn) will trounce and devour a feather headed monster that runs erratically and delivers darts all over a rectangular field.  The carnage will be witnessed by 100,000 rabid animals and millions more will witness through signals out of the air.

So it is written.  So it shall come to pass.

    • When they measure velocity they base it on an average of 3 throws, I think, could be 5. Each qb decides how he throws it. It's not taken from passes in a game. So basing on an "eye test" takes out bias. It's measured by a radar gun in a controlled environment.
    • I think the long term is when this stuff pays off. You have to set it all up and get all the big dogs on the same page.  So if you have the right guy set it up, assigning all the values, you are ahead of the game and he seems to be the top guy. Figures Tepper would be attracted to having the Top analytics guy. Okay with me I guess. If they get to the point where I am mad they didn’t kick or go for it, it means they are doing okay. Cause I haven’t thought that mattered much for several years.
    • Velocity MPH. Okay, that’s a number in isolation. what if CJ has a nice 85% effort motion that does what he is looking for? And Young has to step into things to get even 2 mph behind him?  I don’t KNOW that about either it is just an example of numbers don’t always tell all, but when I look at Young throw it reminds me of someone like Fran Tarkenton. A throwback non athletic weak armed scrambler for those of you who don’t remember. Had a great career in the old smaller slower but much meaner NFL. Would not today, IMO.  I think the arm strength questions, are plenty fair. And the eyeball test, it does mean something. Who would take Bryce Young over CJ Stroud or Richardson based on his arm? It is obvious to the naked eye where they stack up.
