Panthers & Robby Anderson have agreed to a two-year extension, league source confirms.

Some details on numbers, per source:
$12.5m in 2021 (added $4.5m)
$13m in 2022
$12m in 2023

$20.5m guaranteed.

Essentially a three-year/$37.5m deal ($12.5m AAV)

This is excellent. It's a great deal!

He’s not. He’s a low end quality starter that’s really a 3/4 stringer in any other teams NFL.

Over the last several years I have seen enough third and fourth string receivers with the Panthers to know what one looks like and Robby Anderson is definitely not a Corey Brown or Russell Shepard. Chill 😂

the "conspiracy theory", or at least one I was aware of,  was Robby didn't want to play football this season without a new deal.   Here is the deal.

None of that was true nor was the "Robby doesn't want to be here" conspiracy theory. It was based on absolutely zero documented, factual information nor even any real rumor mill information. It was based purely on idiots on the internet pulling things out of there ass.

That was why I got annoyed by that stupid poo. It was based on nothing.

But if Robby gets X, DJ who is an elite talent is going to want XXX. That’s the issue.

Robby gets x on a 2 year deal.

DJ will get a little bit more, but on a longer deal (4-5 years) which will also equal more guarantee.

This is good.  So I think he's over $16 this year then, but back down to a damn good level given what players like Samuel are making.

Can we please get a roll call of all the dopes spreading the "Robby doesn't want to be here" conspiracy theories?

You know who you are.

If you were smart you would know now that it was probably true he did all that because he wanted more money. Damn some people can’t read between the lines.

Pfffffff. Paying a C league Reciever 18th total in the league money? You aren’t worried about Hurney(3.0?).

Why do you keep calling him C league? He was the best receiver on several Jets teams and was right behind DJ last year in production.  DJ is definitely better, but he was going to command good money regardless of this deal.

    • I only wonder about the West Coast team playing on tne East Coast at 1pm factor and historically that has been worth a lot to the home teams. And maybe playing down to the competition that happens sometimes. And the crazy up down up down pattern we have been in this season.  I don’t bet on these things though.
    • I think the racist stuff is barking up the wrong tree with Tepper. He is all woke and stuff. Not that liberal white people can’t be racists they are in their way pretty racist.  Or can be,  I for sure agree about the yes man aspect and particularly apply that to Wilks.  I didn’t understand the Rhule hiring at all. Did not want. But down the line with Wilks, zi personally wanted him, and personally did not see the racism being a factor in the Reich hiring as much as the fixation with offensive minded play callers and copying that trendy model.  I am having a hard time calling to mind any Black coaches who were out there with the big offensive rep. At one time Byron Leftwich was a hot name who I liked. Don’t remember what happened there but he faded. Bienemy but I never believed in him much, personally.  I think Tepper basically excluded defensive guys and went for the top rated play caller OC types. And couldn’t get Ben Johnson and ended up settling with Reich.  Who ended up NOT being a yes man at all.
    • Someone like Steve Smith wouldn't have last half a season under Tepper.
