Banged-up Texans lose to Browns, 31-21, fall to 1-1. Texans will likely have to start rookie Davis Mills against the Carolina Panthers with Tyrod Taylor dealing with a hamstring injury.

Can we take out a life insurance policy on Mills?

Sam made one stupid decision but second good game for him. I can only imagine if we give him a bit more time and allow the WRs to get even more open. Heck even some deep shots. Open up the offense and pull guys out of the box for CMC.

Great win, especially for the D, who’s still young and improving. We are paying Fox less than Erving and Elflein, lol.

Sam is still young so some mistakes are expected. Had a damn good game overall.

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
