I was curious how the Saints reacted to the game so I skimmed their daytime thread.

Bill:  Obviously our tackling coach didn't make the trip.

Krodwhodat:  No pressure = long day

Krodwhodat:  Hall of Famer Sam Darnold

STB1:   Only the Saints can dominate Aaron Rodgers but make Sam Darnold look like a hall of famer.

Saint Kamara:  Not many games where the first drive indicates you have no shot at winning, boy we are witnessing it today.

BroKV: ron-burgundy-escalated-quickly.gif

gregh: Winston intercept in 3..2..1

NewOrleansBoy:   I may go to the gym early today

St. Aaron:   Looks like we saved our preseason rust for the second game...

limeyjohn:  Perhaps those coaches earn their money after all

Devildog:   So, like I said, 3 players out from last week and we are supposed to look like arse. Got it.

saintlyn8:   Our punting looks good tho. Thats something.

SubmarineMike:  Punter gonna be gassed by end of game at this rate.

BooBirdSaint: We look like the Packers. Getting dominated

Poison:  Darnold spreading the ball around like someone playing Madden on easy difficulty.

LonghornSaintsFan:   Soooo is Drew still available?

TomThomster7:  Darnold had all day.  That doesn't change, the Panthers' score will in a big way.

Meachemdat: QB isn’t getting pressured at all.

RaginSaint93:   RIP to Jamies Winston fantasy owners

CJL:  Somebody get Sam a lawn chair and a 🥪

Humperdoo:  We got a first down!

Saint Greg: We may not want to leave two guys unblocked.

St. Aaron: Our O-line forgot how to play football.

SubmarineMike: Their D-line is practically getting to Jamies before the ball does.

perret318:  This is quickly becoming umwatchable.

Saint Greg:  heck of a play by darnold

efil4stnias:  Tip cap to Sam Darnold. Wow. He is slinging darts today.

radkison:  From the penthouse to the outhouse

Humperdoo:  Maybe they’ll put Rodgers in for the second half.

DoubleSaint:  Some of those power rankings look REAL stupid now

woohoosaint: Sam "Freaking" Darnold looking like Tom Brady right now.

rememberTHEsaints: I hate turning off games and never do. but this is actually hard to watch
Bill: You obviously missed the 70s.

Bill:If you've never felt the pain of an avalanche, you have today.

B4YOU: The Panthers are better than advertised.

St. Aaron: Oh look, another three and out...

Low Energy: Well, when first seeing the schedule, I figured we’d be 1-1 after the first two, just didn’t think it would happen the way it did.

EvilMike: Darnold could pitch a tent back there.

Marty_Graw: Think I’m going to go find a Partridge Family rerun to watch,,,

SubmarineMike: Darnold didn’t recognize the sack, since that is the first time today he has seen a player wearing black and gold.

breesgirl:   Right on the 1 and now we’re almost 10 yards away from the end zone. This is hilarious.
rememberTHEsaints: Kick the field goal now before its 4 and 45...

PXSaber: Do we have an o line at all???

SubmarineMike:  As thin as we are on WR/TE, maybe we should have made a play for their superstar TE Dan Arnold.  Dude seems like a real game changer.
St. Aaron:   Now I know what Carolina felt like when Ginn came to the Saints and learned how to catch.

BooBirdSaint:  Maybe we should have traded for Darnold.

It's good to see the pain.  Turned the tables on them.

Meanwhile  the top thread on the Jets forum:

Yes we should have kept Darnold

LOL - how did Sam deal the first time he played BB? He saw Ghosts. If Sam was on the Jets today, he may not throw 4 ints, but not sure if he throws bombs against the Pats secondary. Put Sam on the Jets without the Carolina line, running game, or receivers and his is struggling.

Young team, first time HC, first time OC, rookie QB with a weak line - what did everyone really expect?

The funniest part is "Put Sam on the Jets without the Carolina line, running game, or receivers and his is struggling."  Been there, done that.  That's why you traded him.

What a idiotic comment.

They also have people crying about the refs. Gotta love when a team gets absolutely dominated but just has to fall back onto the "bad refs" excuse. At least there were a few of them saying refs didn't lose them that though.

There were a couple of questionable calls but both sides felt the pain.

Roughing the passer against us in the first QTR come to mind.

Yea that’s what I was seeing too. They just called it really strictly, but both teams got bit by the ticky tacky calls. The Saints just committed more reasonable penalties too.  False start twice in a row usually means they’re scared of the dline lol
