Dude didn't just blow up the guard, he blew up the WR tryna block him too.

He took out two blockers at the same time.

The WR (Berrios) has the build of a small child by NFL standards but then again, Royce Freeman got destroyed by Roby who is of a similar build, so that really is pretty impressive.

He is so small in comparison to other DEs. It blows my mind how consistently he gets pressure.

Pound for pound he looks like one of the strongest guys in the league.  It's amazing what him and Burns both can do not only from a speed perspective but also having the strength to take on offensive linemen when they are giving up 50+ or pounds to these guys on a consistent basis

He got lucky with having the WR there for leverage. The dude is solid though and should he rated far above what PFF says he is so far. I believe the Texans are going to have the most conservative game plans we’ve faced so far, everyone is gonna have two blockers assigned to them. We’ll see how it comes out. If we can continue shutting the run down, it’s game over. Even if we were playing mahomes or Seattle.

I honestly really didn't know him from Adam when we snagged him. Was like, yadda yadda yadda, another vet that's gonna Gerald McCoy himself to some fat paychecks and ride off into the sunset after not even getting his uniform dirty.

Well, I sure was wrong about that. Amazing pick-up for the offseason and amazing impact on the field. The guy apparently was just what we were needing. Wow!

I’m not sure how we’re gonna figure out his payday. Brian has two more years (fifth year option) on his rookie deal and we’re probably looking at a gigantic deal for him. Then if Sam works out we gotta sign him to a sizable payday. Then we got DJ.  Lots of sizable contracts coming up. I know we got the space but we need to be smart.

We have enough cap space if we can get to the playoffs(or beyond) this year I think we can entice most of them to come back. Burns may be a cap casualty though. We’ll just have to wait and see how his and rhules agenda’s work out.

    • Can you imagine how last night played out with the way our defense was playing after that first drive?  An average QB who you can count on to make the right decisions more often than not - We’re up 21-7 at half and run the clock out.  That game isn’t even close.  Bryce is so bad he makes what should be a likely outcome the negative and complete inverse. If they had a plus/minus stat in football like in basketball, Bryce on average would be a -18 or somewhere about.  And that’s your fuging starting qb.  If he’s a net negative every game, your whole team suffers and are just as bad as a consequence.  So guys who would be a +10 with an average QB are now -10s every game.  He is a fuging parasite.  And not only is he destroying the careers and success of those around him, but he’s literally sucking the life out of the fanbase.
    • 1. He signed up for it so just run the damn ball.  2. He is a backup. Just not here hopefully. 3. Not drafting a QB should equal a complete flush of the staff. It matters where a lot less than who. Clean technique and coachable. They don't need a 3 year project IMO. 4. That fear is tied to other guys. If you fear Young than your time in the NFL is going to be short and brutal. 5. Duh. He is a Young quality HC. He will end up being a meh OC after this that depends on a HC to make him call a game the way he should.
    • Canales’ argument was basically….well if you can’t try and build off of Young’s pass game vs Atlanta then when can you with him IMO.  I mean the answer is you can’t and Bryce stinks.  The charade should be over.    there is nothing to build and develop with Bryce.  He stinks and after so many times of stinking he will have a random game where he doesn’t.  The gameplan every week should be the QB stinks and how many times can I give Rico the ball
