That actually doesn't sound encouraging at all.  If it was just a simple strain, then why would we even be talking about the season to begin with?

But, the injury itself did not look severe, so who knows what's going on?  We've seen guys pop their hammy and go down immediately.  But, CMC finished the run and walked off under his own power without even limping.  My belief was, from watching it in real-time, that it wasn't severe and that the lengthy stay in the tent was bc CMC wanted to go back out but the staff had to talk him out of it.  I figured Rhule decided to hold him out to protect him from himself and hope the extended rest until next Sunday will help him get back quicker.  At least that was my hope.

I hope you're right.  Your points make alot of sense though. I've popped mine once and It was painful as hell just to walk, definitely with a limp.  CMC seemed to be walking fine afterwards so maybe your right.

Also, in the post game interview with ESPN at the desk Darnold said "Thoughts and Prayers" out to CMC.  Smitty was like, what the hell do you know that we don't!!

Darnold said he didn't know anything and was just wishing him well.

That was funny as fug to me.   😂

Poor Sam.   Unintentionally stepped on a landmine right there.

30 touches week 1

30 touches week 2 and had to leave with cramps for a bit

You'd think the coaching staff would have given CMC a few series off instead of running him into the ground by week 3

CMC had 9 touches last night.  He played nearly the whole first half.  He didn't even touch the ball at all during the first series.  He was on pace for 18 touches last night, nearly half of his usual workload.

If Chuba learns to the catch the ball, we'll be good.

Chuba needs to take the jugs machine home.

Why don't you guys stop the slap fight and wait to see what the MRI says. Maybe Dr. Peon can interpret it for us.

This isn't really Dr. Peon's field of medicine and I have a feeling he's not going to flex his med school rotation in orthopedics to present himself as a subject matter expert since he's a responsible medical professional, but I'll let him speak for himself.

Chuba needs to sleep with the jugs machine.

I mean he had a SURE Touchdown just drop off his hands and this wasn't a case of Sam overthrowing a receiver again....

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
