Not sure we would see Brady making use of Cam very well. It's not in the college playbook he keeps using.

Having Cam sure would make Brady's red zone play calling a lot better.

Brady: "Cam, please barrel through people including your own shitty blockers and get in the endzone."

Funny, to start the year off, Darnold was doing that actually more than Cam ever did.

He sure was. Imagine if he had a true running threat to do it. Darnold would get killed if Brady kept calling those plays.

Actually, I want to see Darnold with some more running options. Probably safer for him to be out in front of this o-line than behind it.

Cam > Bridgewater, PJ Walker, Sam Bradford

Rookie CMC  > Chubba Hubbard, Mike Davis, Reggie Bonnafon

Greg Olsen > Ian Thomas, Dan Arnold, Tommy Tremble

Ryan Kalil > Matt Paradis

Trai Turner > John Miller

Andrew Norwell > Denis Daley, Michael Jordan, Pat Eflein

Ted Ginn < DJ Moore

Devin Funchess < Robby Anderson

Shula had far better talent to work with than Joe Brady. Particularly at the positions that matter the most, QB and OL. Until I comparable talent at least at OL, I can't judge Brady too harshly.

I think you are breaking the rules as I believe the overall objective is to poo on the current coaching staff.  I agree with your point though.  Brady is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken poo and he lacks the experience in this.  I am still concerned just how good he can be but that is TBD from my point of view.

I suppose we/I  simply lack the wisdom others have.  They seem to be able to make snap judgements on just about everything.

Something sticks out to me and it's the fact that Rhule said "We usually score our points in the first couple of drives and then we can't seem to move the ball" or words to that effect. Which we have all very clearly noticed. Several opposing players have also said our offense was incredibly predictable. Connect the dots.

Brady hasn't shown he can call plays in the NFL. He doesn't seem to adjust mid game either. It's stick with the game plan all the way through. Even if it isn't working.

I'm going with Shula 100% until Brady proves he can call plays and have success in the NFL.

Joe Brady, and it isn't even close.

Now if it was who do we prefer between Brady or Chudzinski, then I might have to do some thinking.

Chud was fun to watch.  He seemed to really know how to use Cam.  Like a prior response said Shula had a Ferrari and drove it like a Pickup truck.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
