Yup, and that seems so much like a Tepper move.  And honestly, judging from his reaction during the game on Sunday, I wouldn't be surprised at all of he is pushing for this to get done.

We know that Tepper has big b@lls. Swearing on tv, grabbing his gfs you know what during an interview, crushing businesses. He'll push for us to start Watson if we get him.

Sorry but even with his mobility, Watson isn't going to fix the offensive line. His cap hit will also kill most of our cap space and keep us from being able to sign any of the really good FA linemen that are going to be available come free agency.

Also until his legal issues are cleared, I want nothing to do with the guy. I don't care how good of a quarterback he is.

Our o-line worse than it is because holds the ball too long and has no pocket awareness. Normal QBs get the ball out on time and are aware of what is happening in the pocket. Look at how many times Sam had all day and blew it.

Watson holds the ball longer than Sam

According to one with "insider" access...

...this is not Tepper's call and he's at home twiddling his thumbs and waiting for the outcome just like the rest of us.

According to my insider Tepper wants Watson and has been yelling at Fitterer to make it happen.

(My insider is my imagination.)

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
