How did LT Christensen do?

I think BC should have been playing LT from the get go in rookie camp, etc.  Flipping him around the entire line has not been great for his development.  Sure he's an old rookie, but he's still a rookie.  They should have been grooming him since May...

Again, the coaches are just as much to blame for the poopy execution.

That being said.  He did have some good reps.  I'd say he needs to play LT from here on out.  May as well see if he does improve.

At the end of the day Rhule and Fitterer thought we had an OL good enough to evaluate Darnold and they were wrong

I agree, 1,000%.  During TC, the narrative was that the OL was going to be an issue, but most teams have OL issues.  I'm just so disappointed in our coaching staff, for not at least being competitive.  The team just seems so listless - which goes well beyond all the other issues this team has.

The constant shuffling at OL is just another sign that these guys don't have the coaching chops to succeed. You had all offseason to establish a pecking order for your OL at each position. The first injury starts a cavalcade of position changes, player rotations, etc, etc. The lack of continuity is amazing. How in the world could anyone see that going on and think that could ever work? You can move these guys around like they are chess pieces and expect them to all perform as they did before. That's not a real thing in the NFL.

It really doesn't get old. THis is really how the Jets feel with the butt fumble it wont' ever go away b/c it's funnier each time actually.

The only saving grace here is the market....if this happened in New York it'd be a much bigger deal and all over the shop. One of the few good things about being irrelevant is your blunders are barely paid attention to as well.

It wasn't really a sack. He was trying to prevent an interception.

This right here made my work day! I thank you both!

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
