Gonna need quite a bit when we can't afford to pay Burns, Donte, Reddick, etc. Damn near allowed 600 yards to the Vikings...

Burns is in his third year, at least 2 more years before you have to pay him and yet to make a pro bowl. Reddick is manageable with the increasing cap, donte may be odd man out but considering us trading and drafting for some many corners lately thats a move you should be comfortable with more than any other position on team.

From Scott Fowler's article on the possibility of a trade for Watson:

Quote

In pragmatic terms, I could see Watson’s legal issues taking a season or two to resolve. More importantly, in human terms, it’s not the right move for the Panthers. With all of those outstanding accusations, is that really the message your organization should be sending? A win-at-all-costs, damn-the-torpedoes course of action? It shouldn’t be.

I think if we do somehow end up getting him, then Tepper will have done his homework with the league and verified that there is no suspension on the horizon.  He does not strike me as the type of guy to just hope it goes his way in a situation like this where the stakes are so high.

That's fair.

I trust Fitter.

Deshaun Watson is going to play football again.  That is a 100% fact.  So we should be okay with the league letting him play, just as long as he doesn't play for our team?  Because that is what it boils down to.

I don't care if he ever plays another down of football.   Some things are bigger than a damn football game.  He is a dumbass at the very least and a sexual predator at worst.  I will never watch that dude play.

Even if it ends up on the dumbass side? Lot of dumbasses out there on the field and in the world. Gotta let that slide man. Now if its on the sexual predator side, yeah I understand. But you'll never watch him guilty or innocent? Well regardless that's your decision right lol

    • Nobody is asking you to root for him.  We (or at least I am) are asking you to stop derailing every single thread by bringing up Bryce Young.  Or feeling the need to put down someone any time they have a positive thing to say about Bryce.  Posters aren't allowed to say anything positive about Bryce around here without you (and some others, but mostly you) right behind them to tell them how wrong they are. And you do this constantly.  Even now with the "clownery" comment.  If people described your posts as clownery, you wouldn't appreciate it, would you? And this isn't me saying that we shouldn't have negative takes about Bryce on this forum, so before you accuse of me of trying to eliminate negative posts about Bryce, that isn't the case at all.  However, to me, it is weird to come into a thread that was about highlighting our offseason/OTAs, and unprompted, you go into bashing Bryce Young.  There are at least 5 other threads on the first page alone where you could have trashed Bryce.  And you know this, because you have in all of them threads. You're a smart guy from what I can tell but your disdain for Bryce has become obnoxious, even if you are right about him.  If a Bryce fan bombarded every single thread to talk about how good they felt he was, you wouldn't like it.  I know this because anytime this discussion happens you bring up "Bryce fanboys".
    • It's not skewed though, that's just the result of the best QBs being on quality teams resulting in Super Bowls. Those guys are just that good and it's the bar that other QBs and teams have to meet or at least approach in order to compete. That's just how the NFL is these days. Having a dynasty would be great but even just being able to have the stars align and the team perform at an elite level like 2015 would be amazing. Unfortunately though, Cam absolutely played like Superman in elevating that offense to where it was, further supporting the requirement.
    • New year? Fresh perspective? You gave up on him. You threw in the towel. Yet now you want to be the first and official word on how to root for him and the Panthers? There's a word for this. Clownery.
