This. People think I hate Darnold. I don't. He seems like a good dude. I really think he's giving it all he's got. He's just not the answer. I hate the fact that the decision makers got duped into convincing themselves that he might be.

Sam does appear to be deeply damaged and his time with the Panthers is only making the situation worse.  Not sure Sam can ever be fixed, but chances are even if he could, this isn't the organization to do it.
