Could be a number of things, but if you're expecting 2015 Cam back you're going to be sad.  In looking at Cam's tape from last year, he can still get you the 40-50 yard ball if he can set and throw.  But he can't make the 60 yard falling backwards pinpoint bomb.

This is a different Cam physically.  We need to care for him.  We need to use him to his strengths and not overuse him.

There aren't many people who can make the throw as you're describing it. If Cam can play to his limitations while still being the best 3rd and 1, 4th and 1, and Red Zone threat in the league, the Panthers have a shot this year.

I know this will not happen because the NFL doesn't work this way but it would be nice to see PJ and Cam both play for periods in all of the remaining games.

Once Cam is back he brings way more to the table. Like the int yesterday on PJ. Cam has seen almost any coverage a DC can bring so he's not going to get intercepted like that.

Also the ball was further than I initially thought and when you see him he doesn't look labored. His last year with the Panthers he looked like he was trying his ass off to barely skip a pass to the WRs and on that it was pretty effortless which is a good sign.

What a fugin weird statement. When do you throw a pass where giving the receiver a chance ISNT in mind...

Ellis’ takes aren’t… good. One article he praised Kyle Allen’s ability to “throw deep” whilst playing a Saints Team that had no starters.

Yea thats funny man like. "he threw that pass never intending for it to be catchable by the WR" ya know it was "one o dem plays"

Like no we have no idea wtf you're talking about lol you obviously are trying to complete passes when you throw the ball.

The ball did reach DJ's hands. He was mugged so he didn't haul it in obv. But for a 32 year old qb that has been with the team less than a full week he got us closer than the previous 24 year old qb who sailed balls over receivers heads or out of bounds consistently.

You are correct, sir.  This was NOT an underthrow.  If DJ wasn't being mugged by Wilson the last 8 yds downfield, he catches the ball in stride, and trots in; then everybody's gushing over Cam's arm.

Beneficial penalty on the DB, but he prevented the TD.  Y'all had best be alert -- there will be plenty of these to DJ and Robby, off play-action, in the games to come.
