Ouch. Drafting busts at positions of strength while ignoring obvious weaknesses REALLY hurts. It hurts a lot worse than reaching at a position of need IMO.

Hopefully he won't bust, but damn it's not looking good right now.

And I got shitted all over for not liking the pick on draft day and insisting it should have been an OL.

Good lord.

From Panthers dot com.

The Panthers have changed up their receiver rotation.

Rookie wideout Terrace Marshall Jr., their second-round pick, is inactive today. He wasn't on the injury report this week. This season, he has 14 catches for 116 yards and no touchdowns.

Wide receiver Shi Smith, the sixth-round rookie from South Carolina is active for the game.

The Panthers will also actually start an offensive line they've used before, even if it's not on purpose.

Veteran guard John Miller, who suffered an ankle injury in practice Wednesday, didn't make the trip and was inactive for the game. That puts Trent Scott back in the starting lineup at right guard.

And with Dennis Daley staying in at left tackle (after not finishing the previous two games with a glute injury), it gave the Panthers a a rare repeat of a starting lineup combination.

With Daley, Michael Jordan, Pat Elflein, Scott, and Taylor Moton from left to right, they'll have the same group that started the Arizona game (where they allowed no sacks and ran for 169 yards).

Also inactive for the Panthers were third quarterback Matt Barkley, safety Kenny Robinson, cornerback Rashaan Melvin, linebacker Kamal Martin, and tight end Colin Thompson.

They promoted practice squad wide receiver Matt Cole and tackle Austen Pleasants for this game (standard elevations), giving them some depth on special teams and the line.

Yet they keep trotting John Miller out there week after week unless he is injured. He physically can't play any week.

There is no way he should be regressing right now.

Horrible coaching.

He wasn't the same after the Darnold hospital ball. In fact, I don't think any of the receivers have recovered from Darnold. Andersen and DJ seem to have developed a case of the drops and alligator arms.

    • He has made some good throws yes. His arm isn’t great by any professional measure though It might be decent enough, but the poor footwork inhibits it.  So he has to really focus on that and from what I’ve seen he is not consistent.    peace.
    • If only Bryce were 8'1" then CJ wouldn't have needed Woody Marks to carry him against the Titans nor the defense to carry him with 3 picks vs. Cooper Rush. If he were a real QB, he'd have thrown for over 250yds and the Texans wouldn't be 2-3. /s See? I can do the same dumb, lame poo that y'all do. Doesn't this make the board a better experience overall? 🙂
    • Their defense is on track to be worse than ours last year. Their run D is in the bottom half but their pass D is horrible.    32nd overall D, 32nd passD, 23rd rush D We are going to have to throw the ball against them, which means down field where they are vulnerable. Problem is Turnover Fred struggles to push the ball down the field and we have the 26th ranked pass offense. Running will help but will have to beat them through the air. On the flip side, Dallas’ offense is awesome.    1st overall, 3rd pass, 8th run.    But Evero’s defense is ranked 12th right now with the pass D around 10th and rush D around 14th.    If we can take care of the football (looking at Bryce) and we make plays down the field (also looking at Bryce) we can win, yes.
