PJ has been on min Salary 800k range coming off the XFL.

5 mil is a stretch.  But he has started a game or 2. So could easily see him want 2-3 mil.  for Example Blaine Gabbert is getting 2.5 mil this year.
Especially if we don’t sign anyone else and is looked as The guy to come in and bridge for someone else.

Man if they give him any type of money like that, that is just fiscally irresponsible. I think they can find someone just as good if not better with a draft pick or cheap cheap UDFA or FA.

What is his talent? What has he done to merit even a mention of a GM job? Almost every move has been a poor cap decision. His exact responsibility. Now, no one may be listening too him, but he hasn’t done anything at his current or former job to warrant this kind of attention.

Oh yea keeping the wrong FO and losing Beane and McDermott. All it took for my Mick from another chic to have back to back winning seasons was years 3 and 4 with this year about to be the 3rd in a row....just lol.

      well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying

      All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.

      I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
