He should've jacked him up if that's true. He obviously thinks he's talking to a kid.

I think it's fair to say both Urban Meyer and Matt Rhule are better suited to talk to college kids than professional adults.

Now with that said, in today's environment, would you even do that to a college kid?

I'd be willing to bet money that it's "...the more things stay the same." My wife subs in high school, and she has told me that she's heard the coaches cussing players out when they get out of line and there's a need for disciplinary action in the classroom. My nephew has voluntarily coached high school and he has told me that when the players got out of line, he's had to pull them to the side and give them some choice words. If it goes on in high school, it likely goes on in college where the HC is generally the most powerful guy on a lot of these campuses.

Well, if we're talking language, I got that from my Pee Wee coaches.

But even they never kicked me.

From the story...

“I’m in a lunge position. Left leg forward, right leg back,” Lambo said. “... Urban Meyer, while I’m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, ‘Hey Dips--t, make your f--king kicks!’ And kicks me in the leg.”

That's when you turn around and say "Hows this coach?" and plant you kicking foot up that peons ass!!!"

    • That argument could be used for actual trolls. “If you don’t like it find somewhere else to post” is just silly. Some of us are just letting you know, you are sounding like a broken record on these threads. It’s just some constructive criticism. You don’t have to change your ways. I doubt you will. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Feel free to deflect and use one of those GIFs again.
    • It went from he has to jump to he has to bend his hips. That’s changing it. I showed you clips of him throwing deep without jumping which means he doesn’t always have to. I liked and like Stroud better so I’m not really a Bryce defender. Just think you don’t have to make up things when critiquing our QB like he has to jump to throw it deep. There is plenty of ammo there without those exaggerations. Oh yeah the “you don’t know ball” argument. Classic.
    • I get the rookie QB formula and fully expected to see it implemented. Oh well. For the run game there was no or very little under center stuff until a good ways into the year. At least that is how I am remembering it. And no deep throwing - so stacked boxes which you can say chicken or egg on why.  Hard to run like that.  The QB that people said was so great was pulled for a designated Hail Mary thrower. That’s pretty unusual. And may speak to why we saw few deep balls in some part, along with the OL. To ignore that stuff means you aren’t working with all of the information when you try to mentally model or project what it might be like on the field.  Me, I have a slice of hope that he could maybe be NFL average but getting him to be a plus type of QB is a huge job. It depends on designing the playbook with certain values at the foundation that have to be adhered to first . You have to integrate the other pieces around this one guy’s skill set because he is a real outlier. And he has to learn the under center skill set. Maybe put that Only Positive thread back up people can go there if they don’t want to deal with rightly frustrated fans.
