I have been sitting with this all day. What kind of logic is this? You have confidence in a head coach steering the future of your franchise solely based on if he can find an OC that you like? Otherwise you will fire him? That makes no sense. If this is your reasoning, just find a HC you do have confidence without these weird contingencies. Go hire Kellen Moore/Byron Leftwich/etc as HC if you want a great OC. This is seriously the dumbest thing that has come out of our owner, and that is saying a lot.

That type of stipulation makes no sense. You're telling me that Tepper will fire Rhule if the hire is not to his liking, which likely means having to find a new head coach well after everyone else has made their hires or make the new OC the new head coach by default?

I really hope this is false because the very idea is incredibly foolish.

I know nobody trusts Rhule on that front, but if it's the same guy who called Marty Hurney "a great evaluator of college talent", is that really any better?

      Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.

      Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players

      This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
