Rhule on Cam's Comments

I remember that same kind of talk right before they cut his ass two seasons ago

He did say it's going to depend on money.  He also emphasized how NE was good for Cam etc.  It really sounded like our organization is a bunch of amateurs lol.

Rhule was extremely complimentary to Cam.  Basically said Cam has high expectations and works harder than almost anyone in the building, and expects other players to do the same and don't always...  Also said he hopes they bring him back because he's a great role model for younger players...

that can only mean one thing…

Rhule spoke to PLAYERS showing "patience" and not being "flippant"

Says the man who canned Joe Brady after 22ish games, a bridge QB after one year of an obvious 2-year bridge period, and has made 6 QB changes including a QB rotation plan.

Then kept praising Cam over and over after this is the guy they kicked to the curb a few weeks after he arrived.

Pot call kettle...

this is getting more embarrassing by the minute.

I honestly think Cam right now is a better coach than Rhule

Actually.  You had to listen to the whole quote.
Rhule mentioned how Cam’s works harder than anyone he’s seen.  First one in the building last one to leave etc etc.  And mentioned there were several players that may not have been on the level he wanted (guess saying some younger guys were slacking off in Cam’s eyes)

Cam wasn’t just talking about young players though.  Cam was talking about everyone.  Non-players too.

Cam just highlights we have a college staff. This off-season really highlighted how the staff aren’t up to speed IMO too.  I guess that is to be expected in their first real offseason.

But Cam and Teddy IMO both hit the same notes overall.  The staff isn’t up to par in Carolina.  And veteran guys see it.

also, he is back to basically acting like Sam is a rookie IMO.   Also, interesting to know Sunday was one of his best games lol.

Rhule is just going to run it back.  Hoping he gets a chance to run CMC into the dirt next season.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
