Did anyone at any point last season think “hm yes if only our special teams play was improved”

if anything this team has had a really good run of specialists with Blackburn here

he was fired because he was a holdover from the previous regime and probably still says “keep pounding” in hushed tones when rhule isn’t around

Great more scapegoats.

Hey Tepper, Rhule is the guy who hired all of these fuging bums or decided to retain them from the last regime and now he’s firing them all.

How much more do you need to see to be convinced the guy you’re dumb ass hired has no fuging clue what he’s doing.

Give me 7 years and 60 million dollars and I’m sure I can will this team to a whopping 5 wins.

fuging lowest point in Panthers history.

Before he came aboard, Zane Gonzalez wasn't known for putting his kickoffs in the end zone.

He credited his improvement to coaching that he received here.

Or ST coach for the 2020/2021 Panthers.

I have no issue with any of the firings as none of them did well or developed anything. Here’s to hoping we get real coaches.

Unfortunately it usually takes one to know one.

He basically fired the entire staff he hand picked except for Snow because they’re a package deal.

fuging clown is firing everyone around him and still isn’t taking any responsibility for this train wreck he engineered. They all must not have bought into this process he somehow sold our dunce of an owner on.

Imagine you're an offensive line coach, and your resume includes the 2021 Carolina Panthers. Time to look into Dental school.

Easy interview answer to why did your OL suck so much: "My boss wouldn't let me play the talented young players with potential that I wanted to play and develop."

Two of those were expected. Okam is a surprise.

That's actually the second time Rhule has fired his DL coach. Guess we're gonna have a new one every year.

I mean we spent #7 overall on a DT considered to be a generational tackle and he’s been a bust. Burns was also mediocre. What were people expecting?

Were they better the year before though?

I ask because Rhule fired his first DL coach (Mike Phair, a guy with NFL experience but no connection to Rhule) and promoted Okam to replace him.

When asked for comment on why he let go of Phair, Rhule's only comment was something along the lines of "we do things a different way here".

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
