“PITTSBURGH -- Some Steelers "limited partners" want Art Rooney II to fire head coach Mike Tomlin, according to Pro Football Talk.

Pro Football Talk, citing a source with direct knowledge of the situation, reported that the minority owners planning to lobby Rooney to fire Tomlin come from a group that includes Rob Citrone, Paul Evanson, Larry Paul, Stephen Paul, Bruce Rauner, Paul Sams, John Stallworth, Benjamin Statler, Scott Swank, David Tepper, Thomas Tull, Peter Varischetti, and Mike Wilkins.”

Read that closely…

If this is what all that speculation that Tepper didn’t want Tomlin came from, it holds no water. The minority owners that wanted Tomlin gone could be citrone and evanson and the statement would be correct. It basically means there’s at least a 1 in 6.5 chance Tepper wanted Tomlin gone

If Tepper can get Colbert to come here for a few years it could make such a difference. Yeah 2022 is still a throwaway year but 2023 could be a new hope. It would give Colbert a year to analyze everyone and start making moves. It would require limits on contracts and trades this offseason but none of that is unheard-of with a failing staff that reeks of desperation.

If Tepper is rolling with this crew and can't get Colbert then we are headed to being the new Lions.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
