Honestly, I know it's a "Down Year" for QB but I really would not be surprised to see a few of these guys pop off.

Based on the limited tape I have seen, I like all of Pickett, Corral, Strong, and Howell and think they could succeed if they end up in the right situation... Meaning If none of them get drafted by us.

I wonder if he will make it that long?

(that’s what she said)

No higher than the 3rd as of now.  We have the #3 pick (Houston) in the 4th with Jax and most likely Cleveland not taking QBs there.  So if Zappe makes it out of the 3rd round, there's no reason we couldn't draft him.

I don’t think this is a down year in the draft. It’s a tough crop to figure out the best from though and I think like you in that a few will pop off and have successful careers. Ridder & Strong are my bets. Maybe Corral.

This. If we weren't such a dumpster fire I'd be banging the table for Howell. As is, I hope he ends up just about anywhere but here.

The hope is that Rhule won’t screw him up too bad this year and we get a coach next year that’s knows what he is doing. The praise Rodgers gave McAdoo is a little promising…

I feel that QB Malil Willis,Liberty, fits the profile of the modern day NFL QB so my choice would be him.

Malik Willis, Liberty

Strengths: Massive arm that will be among the top 10 arms in the NFL upon his arrival to the league. Supreme athletic gifts. Will be a serious threat in the designed run game and has a flair for the dramatic as an improviser. Has the body of a tall running back and runs like that. Will run past some slower linebackers. From a clean pocket, his accuracy is very good. Zip, touch, placement are almost always on point in that scenario. Very capable throwing on the run. Wants to hit the big-time throw often.

Weaknesses: Not a deft coverage-reader. Can get baited by secondary members into interceptions. Aggression that leads to big plays also gets him into trouble at times. Pocket presence needs work.

Stylistic NFL comparison: Smaller Josh Allen

We don’t need to take any of them… Especially not some dumb fug that decided to got to school with Jerry Falwell.

We need to invest in the offensive line, trade McCaffrey for whatever we can get, accumulate draft and other capital for 2023, and go after someone like Grayson McCall in 2023 with a new coach.

    • Yeah, Bryce has to put that a little deeper. But XL can't allow the pick there. Gotta become the DB when you're undercut like that.
    • You see, I just don't subscribe to a cookie cutter type of philosophy when it comes to trades or team building. Every situation is different. Many may disagree, but I think that FOs that can't draft impact-players beyond the first round aren't really viable.  Just for argument's sake, because we all know this hypothetical trade is as realistic as the moon being made of cheese, Micah is a young dawg really just beginning his prime and is arguably the most valuable pass rusher in the league. He could realistically play at a high level for at least the next five to seven years. Parsons' current trajectory is Canton. That being said, he's not some old merc that fits the mold of "one piece away," he's a core piece to any defense for the better part of the next 10 years. Pass rushers of his caliber and age don't generally become available, so, sure, he'd help an elite team, but he's also a fit for a younger team that's building. I know that you don't agree, but it's all good. I respect your rationale.
    • Here's my not important take on this subject.  Who wouldn't want a pass rusher of his consistency?  I would absolutely love to have him on this defense.   Would I give up Brown in a trade for him.  Nope, I would never do that.  Interior linemen are way to important to be settling for whatever you can get at the position.   Would I trade 2 firsts,  plus fork out a big contract for him?   Without knowing if Young is for sure going to be our long term, franchise guy,  there is no way I'd be okay with letting go 2 firsts. As for the contract that he'd demand, I just dont get caught up with NFL contracts.  They have been out of control for decades.  So I really dont get upset over big contracts. It's just a fact of life in the NFL.  You HAVE to pay for talent.
