Time to assess the 2019 draft!

Typical Hurney draft. Good 1st round pick followed by a lot of trash, a massive reach in the 2nd on a player once hyped to be a 1st round pick but falling down draft boards fast, and one good late round pick. Little had one of the worst OL Combines in history. The Combine is overrated in a lot of ways but when a guy shows up looking utterly unprepared for the biggest job interview he'll ever have, well that tells you everything you need to know. Little looked like he'd never done any of those drills in his life. Daley isn't a good NFL player, but he's a decent versatile backup caliber player and that's a good 6th round pick.

Hurney's fatal draft flaw was always a complete inability to find talent in the 2nd through 4th rounds and that's where a good portion of your roster is built and that was always reflected in his rosters. There were legit star caliber players but the rosters were always very top heavy with no depth and lots of holes.

The double whammy is that we just missed out on Herbert and took Brown instead of a LT because we needed to give Little a chance. Ugh, we gave up McCoy and another IOL or McCoy and Maxx Crosby (he was a private visit, might have been the pick instead of Miller if he lasted a few more) for Little and then we went Brown because we didn’t need a LT or because Marty would look bad.

And pointing that all out at the time, as we both did, was considered blasphemy. But the GMs always know better…lol

Daley looked OK early but his actual play wasn’t really good value. Miller in 2020 outplayed Daley as did Van Roten, etc. Street FAs and UDFAs played better.

for a 6th round pick many of which never play a snap in the NFL, Daley was good value

That’s up there with the 2011 Hurney draft

For now the 2019 draft is worse. If Brian Burns was that good I could maybe live with it. But he would have to be making an Aaron Donald or Von Miller level of impact on the dline. That's how important Cam was to his team in his prime that we forgot about 6 other draft picks by the following season.
