Besides hiring Rhule what has been Tepper's biggest mistake so far?

You think he's a candidate to come work for the Panthers?

Reports are that he would consider working elsewhere, or could take a lesser job with the Steelers.

Given his relationship to David Tepper, yes I could see him coming here in a consultant type role.

Not doing any research, what so ever, into such a large purchase.

Had he dug in...like really dug in...he would have known to poo can Hurney the moment the ink dried in the purchase contract.

That man is a magnet for losing, always has been...never ran team well during any of his stretches...never, Tepper had no clue.

That one move would have changed the course of the franchise immediately.

2nd biggest mistake: Keeping Hurney after kicking Ron to the curb.

Those two mistakes will cost us dearly for years.  Both involve Marty.

Why would platinum level guy like that join up with such a shite owner and organization?  I thought we had no ability to attract top talent?

Prior relationship.

Pittsburgh guys like Ed Bouchette, Gerry Dulac, Mark Karboly and others have been talking about back channel conversations between Tepper and Colbert for years. That's why there was so much speculation that Colbert would eventually become Panthers GM.

At this point, I don't necessarily think he'd be named GM, but an outside consultant type role is very possible.

If that is true it isn't crazy to think that Rhule consulted (off the record) with him some in the search that resulted with Rhule.  What his opinion of Rhule was we will never know.

Not lobbying for expansion so he could enjoy the experience of trial and error with a new fanbase who are just happy to have an NFL team.

Instead dude turned the Carolina Panthers who had a pretty decent NFL history into a defacto expansion team with NO stars and an amateur NFL coach for his own "back to square one" entertainment.

Nobody else is entertained by his flailing and failing. We didn't deserve our franchise being turned to dog poo.

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently).
