I don’t understand this management. Trade for a hometown guy, who just so happens to arguably be the best CB in the game, only get to use him for a handful of games, and you don’t bring him back. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but I wouldn’t put it past this team. Gilmore>Djax and it should be Gilmore coming back. He actually wants to be here, bless his heart.

Per interviews this idiotic franchise thought they had a legitimate shot at making the playoffs

granted we were 3-1…after defeating the almighty Texans and jets and saints’ waterboys

I'm guessing the plan was to trade a 6th round pick for a future 3rd round (comp) pick.

It's not the franchise, it's Rhule.  He runs everything, remember?  He calls all the shots with the roster, draft and FA.  What you see is his creation and his alone.

      I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.

      We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
