Deshaun really should say he only wants to be traded to the panthers and help us try to mitigate how much we're giving up. There can't be a bidding war if me won't waive the ntc for any other team

Yeah, But the Texans could say we’re only trading you to X team.

The problem with that, is that Watson has to be coerced to play here, and a quarterback wants weapons to play with. "C'mon, Deshaun. In Charlotte, you can play in an empty stadium full of opposing teams' fans, and you get to throw to Robby Anderson, Tommy Tremble AND Ian Thomas! Plus you can learn from Matt Rhule, and hand off to Chuba Hubbard!"

Because this righteous indignation is starting to feel a little thin...how long did it take you to recover from Kerry Collins getting drunk and dropping racial slurs in training camp?  Asking for a friend.

Well, I was three years old when that happened and had no concept of competitive sports or object permanence for that matter, good try tho.

I thought Darnold, DJ, and 3 firsts and a future 2nd would be enough, with Watson and a 3rd coming back.

But if another player is going out, I bet it will be Brown.  Brown is seriously underrated around here and will be seriously missed.  Plus the cap hits on the Texans will be miniscule as we will eat the dead cap bonus.  Time for Nixon/Hoskins to step up.

I think CMC goes out in a different trade, because we desperately need some draft assets.

Burns is safe - Houston will pick one of the edge rushers at 3.  Horn is safe - Houston will pick sauce at 6.  Chinn is safe - Houston already has a very good ss on their roster.  What they need is a DT.

If Brown is added, maybe they will send another late pick back.  They already have 10-11 picks (not including ours).  I could see one of their 6ths coming back.

      Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.

      I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
