Al Holcomb promoted to assistant head coach

Well, he does have a decade plus of NFL coaching experience so at least there's that. He was a grad assistant at Temple but that was well before Rhule's days there. Kinda odd to have a former NFL HC on the staff and not have him be in this role but I've always assumed these types of titles are basically just that - titles. Maybe it'll help out his resume but I'm not sure it comes with much or any more sway inside the organization.

Yeah I agree - though I did find it interesting that the article noted he is expected to assist Phil Snow more with defensive game planning.  Not sure how much assistants do that anyways...I would imagine they'd all be involved to some degree.

Lol what kind of made up job is that? And he had the job last year?

1) why does he have a job and 2) why did he just get promoted to assistant head coach?
