Why y’all think Raiders would trade Carr lol, then they don’t have a qb?

Ive broken this about 3x now between last nights thread and today's... This will probably be the last time.

Raiders have been quietly shopping Derek Carr for 3 weeks now. The Colts, Brown and Seahawks are said to be interested. The belife is that McDaniels wants to trade Carr because he is an easy value right now, for the following reasons:

1. Last year of his deal
2. He is going to be expensive this offseason due to his is current contract and elevated market
3. McDaniels wants to hand pick his QB

You can simply type in "Derek Carr Trade McDaniels" on google you will see articles sharing the same thing, and if you venture to the raiders reddit this has been an active topic.

guy's. the smart move if we miss out on DW is to roll with Sam for 2022 use our resources on solidifying the OL so that when we do see an available QB we have a solid system in place for that QB to be successful in. Not a popular option, but it's the right way to build the team.

P.S. first step has got be be fire Rhule and get a competent HC in place to orchestrate the plan.

Is there an actual time that dw has to make a choice

 This poo is getting old

nope. there's no "deadline"

lot of twitter noise though

This could drag on into the summer for all we know. I think everyone involved wants it to be done ASAP though.

Both are better than Darnold who has never even had a winning season. I don't love those choices but I'd take Baker on a rookie contract for a 1 season tryout over Darnold again.

Baker went through 4 different OCs in 4 years... he was never setup for success by that franchise. Browns are a poorly run franchise. Baker with a fair shake might actually be an optimal QB in this league. He took that team to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade, and helped them to their first playoff win in oer 25 years...

Well he'll be going on 5 and 6 here, so nothing changes for him.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
