True, let the GM be the GM...acquire the players and let the coach coach them.  I think Fitts can do the first, but I'm not sure Rhule can do the later.

I think maybe it's why Tepper has been so quiet and probably super pissed behind the scenes. Everything points to Rhule losing the "total control" he had his first two years, to see if he can even coach a team with actual professionals (GM/upgraded coordinators) putting him in position to succeed. We're totally set up for letting him go halfway through the season if he can't get it together. I'd just go ahead and let Wilks or Tabor take over now personally

      To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.

      Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
