What are your thoughts, does this make us a playoff contender, do we give up another 2nd round?

 

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers might be leading the field in the race to acquire Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport only said "maybe", and it was pure speculation.

The operative word here is “might”. I don’t see the Panthers having any interest in Mayfield. I don’t think he fits McAdoo’s revamped offense and this is speculation. With Ryan being traded to the Colts and open spots for starting QB seemingly evaporating by the hour, the Browns are going to have to drum up interest in Mayfield.

They should send US a 4th for taking on the contract. Its not like they have a ton of options right now, especially with Jameis signing.

Agree, nothing more than that though. We'd be a playoff team this year with Baker

With Jameis Winston signing with the Saints I'd say Baker's possible landing places are:

Seattle

Carolina

Houston

That's about it, unless a surprise team enters the fold like NYG or DET.
