Running QBs don’t win Superb Owls

Such a dumb argument. Hill, RG3, The Golden Calf of Bristol are all busts that never made it as QBs in the NFL. Hill isn’t even a QB honestly… Should I make pocket QBs who have busted? Your list is just Cam, Lamar, Vick, and Murray. If you think Cam’s running ability is why we lost the Super Bowl you weren’t watching the game. Vick wasn’t developed by the Falcons leading to injuries and then the off fields issues messed his career up. Andy Reid coached him up in Philadelphia, but it was later in his career.

Running QBs can be developed into Josh Allen, Steve Young, Elway, Rodgers type players than can beat you in the pocket or make you pay with their legs. The problem is teams seem hesitant to beef up the OL when they have QBs that can run like the Cards, Panthers with Cam, and Falcons. You have to build a team around any QB to win it all. The Bills are doing it right and will have as good a chance as anyone to win it all with a QB who can run and has running plays drawn up for him.

You hit the nail on the head in the middle with the lack of investment by front offices in OLs BECAUSE they feel the QB can run out if trouble. It contributes to those QB struggles.

What even is a “running QB” anymore?

QBs who run it 50+ yds a game: Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen. That's it. There are three. And you can be elite and be a running QB btw. A running QB will win it all one day, just due to probability. I just don't like the wear and tear their bodies take. Jackson is already seeing breakdown. Hurts won't be far off as much as they run him. Bills would be morons if they don't dial Allen back. If they don't, he will be brittle too. Same thing with our RUNNING BACK ... CMC. He's too small to run it all the time. Vick's body wore down. Even Big Ben (not a running QB) and Cam (up for debate if he is) show wore after being abused. I know QBs who run are fun to watch ... but it's just not smart. Give me a Mahomes or a Prescott ... who can run if needed but are much more about the passing. The crazy thing is we know Lamar Jackson can throw it, but they still have him run too much. Insane.

In the past 10 super bowls pocket passers have won all but 2.  I count Mahomes and Wilson as "mobile" qbs.  However in the mahomes playoff run he had a total of 50 yards rushing and wilson had a total of 40 yards rushing in his.  Running and even mobile qbs seem to be way overrated when it comes to the playoffs.  You have to beat good defenses with passing in the pocket

There’s running and then there is running for yardage.  Those guys both run around a ton, they are just really good at keeping their eyes downfield and throwing b4 they cross the los.

So Pat, Steve, Russell, and Aaron are not mobile QBs? Ok...

Those other guys you named are trash, a pure running QB is garbage like the majority of the guys you named outside of Lamar and Cam.

You need a QB that can pass first, but have the ability to run.

Hai Guyz, trash ass QBs like Vick, RG3, Te-bow, and Taysom hill never won  a SB!!!!111

How can you guys not understand the difference between a running QB and a mobile QB?

Guys like Vick run cause they can't throw that well. They are more skilled running than passing.

Guys Like Russ and Young run as a last resort and their primary weapon is their arm.

Vick Cam Lamar Hill are more skilled running than throwing

It’s dumb how you pivot and define running QBs to fit a small scale. 4 of the top 11 QBs with the most rushing yards all time have rings. Period. So out of the top 11 QBs that have the most career rushing yards 36-37% won a Super Bowl. Here is a dumb blanket statement for you. Based on history, pocket QBs have a higher chance of busting than QBs that can run.

Why are you getting so triggered?  It’s just a football topic.

I’m not sure you know what triggered means? Calling a statement dumb is far from it. I just gave you some data to show how dumb it was.

This is some really surface level observational work by OP. Willis is not anything close to Taysom Hill lol
Willis ran it a whopping 40 more times than Corral last year, he was just better at it.

Running in the athletic conference is a wee bit different than Running in the sec

He's calling you triggered bc he's annoyed people see through this vague racist bullshit

Casually listing all the Black QBs he doesnt like (labeling them as "running") and trying to form a cogent argument while doing it, all to bash the Black QB he doesn't like in THIS draft. This place doesn't change much, man

Kinda embarrassing to even have this thread up lol

there are plenty of valid reasons many haven’t won, but simply put there are 2x more traditional pocket qbs compared to “running” qbs, even that phrase is cringe, dual threat qbs is what they should be referred to as, this is asinine

In 52 Super Bowls, maybe maybe one if you count Wilson but he Scrambles to make a good throw like Mahomes. Steve Young, same thing. Lamar, Vick, Cam, The Golden Calf of Bristol, RGknee, Murray, Tasum Hill, on and on.

Accurate pocket passers that trust their line, make great throws, move around so they avoid hits/sacks.

That’s a big hell no to Willis. Its Corral or Pickett. If you aren’t sold on either. Oline it up at least and trade for ….dear god Jimmy G or Michew and get one next year.

Minchew PLEASE!

Use #6 to solidify O Line or trade down!!

Get QB next year.

But by all means don’t push it!
