The middle part isn't really relevant and adds nothing to the statement about the person's death. If you truly did know and love the person schefter is talking about, it's pretty distasteful to talk about their recent failures when they just died, especially if said failures aren't related to their death at all.

I honestly just thought he was pointing out how this guy was known in order to jog memories for those who may not recall or know who he was.

I didn’t think there was a a reason to blow up over it, but intent/purpose is more important to me than getting flustered at literally everything.

There are so many things to be angry and take offense to if you really want to look hard enough. I’m convinced it’s some people’s life mission.

I’m outraged. That’s all he was? A standout and first pick? That’s demeaning who he is as a person. There is so much more to him than being and athlete. What about those things? Are we just going to ignore them especially announcing his death? That didn’t define him that was just what he did. This is embarrassing and insulting. And how he died? I mean really what does that have to do with anything? I suppose your first stop is getting gas wherever you go.  Why didn’t this announcement come from family? Anyone feel odd it’s his AGENT? Is it his place to announce this? Especially considering he wasn’t just an athletes and I doubt Saunders was the closest person to him. Unbelievably embarrassing. CANCEL SAUNDERS.

Schefter is an NFL reporter. He's reporting on a news story from an NFL perspective. Be mad if you want but you're missing the context.

100%.  It’s in very bad taste.  At least he deleted it and made a new one, but this guy has been making distasteful tweets for awhile now.  This the same guy who posted JPP’s busted hand x-rays and his medical condition while he was still in serious recovery.  
 

RIP Dwayne.  You never know if the day you wake up to is the last one you’ll ever have.  I hope they were able to at least find the person who hit him.
