Gordon Hayward chose the Hornets as a 2020 free agent because they offered him $120 million, of course. But the Celtics and Pacers reportedly offered big contracts, too.

A key differentiator for Charlotte: Hayward getting the opportunity to be the go-to player and maximize his on-court contributions.

But LaMelo Ball has rapidly developed into stardom. Miles Bridges expanded his offensive game this season. Even Terry Rozier has taken strides in a larger role.

He has the same trend at 2 stops and its not coincidence. Young guys steps in(Jaylen and Bridges) and his injury history pushes him back to the bench. The guy can play but maybe he needs to go somewhere  with less usage (30 mins) and less wear n tear.

He was hands down better than Batum. Just can't stay healthy but don't act like he wasn't good when he was actually on the court

He was, but same result. Wasted millions on someone who disappears when needed. Batum did it on the court, Hayward did it in street clothes.

How can you be the go to guy when you can't walk in a straight line without hurting yourself. I would also love for him to have a change of scenery

I liked Gordon as a person and a player but this whole change of scenery thing doesn’t look good for him… how many times do you have to jump ship because you aren’t getting what you want?
